बहुत समय पहले की बात है, एक छोटे से गाँव के पास एक जंगल था। उस जंगल में एक बंदर और एक शेर रहते थे। बंदर बहुत चालाक था, जबकि शेर बहुत ताकतवर था। एक दिन, शेर ने बंदर को अपने पास बुलाया और कहा, "तुम मेरे साथ दोस्ती करो। मैं तुम्हें जंगल का राजा बना दूँगा।"

बंदर को शेर की बात मानने में कोई बुराई नहीं लगी, क्योंकि वह जानता था कि शेर से दोस्ती करने में उसे बहुत फायदा होगा। लेकिन एक दिन शेर जंगल में शिकार पर गया और बंदर को अकेला छोड़ दिया। उसी समय, जंगल में एक बड़े हाथी ने आकर बंदर को डरा दिया। हाथी ने कहा, "तुम छोटे हो और मुझे डरा नहीं सकते, मुझे छोड़ दो।"

बंदर ने सोचा, "अब मुझे क्या करना चाहिए?" उसने तुरंत अपनी चतुराई से एक उपाय निकाला। वह हाथी से बोला, "तुम मेरे शिकार नहीं हो सकते, क्योंकि मैं शेर का दोस्त हूँ। शेर मुझे अपना साथी मानता है और अगर तुम मुझे नुकसान पहुँचाओगे, तो शेर तुम्हें माफ नहीं करेगा।"

Once upon a time, near a small village, there was a dense jungle. In this jungle, lived a clever monkey and a powerful lion. One day, the lion called the monkey to him and said, "Be my friend. I will make you the king of the jungle."

The monkey did not see any harm in this proposal because he knew that befriending the lion would bring him many benefits. But one day, when the lion went out hunting, he left the monkey alone in the jungle. At that time, a large elephant came by and frightened the monkey. The elephant said, "You are too small and cannot scare me. Let me go."

The monkey thought, "What should I do now?" He quickly came up with a plan. He said to the elephant, "You cannot harm me because I am a friend of the lion. The lion considers me his companion, and if you hurt me, the lion will not spare you."

The elephant was frightened and left the monkey. The monkey, with his wit, taught the elephant that one should never rely on strength alone, but should always use intelligence to solve problems.
